Platform 9 3/4 Kings Cross

When we came out of Kensington Palace I gave the kids two options as we only had just over an hour before our train at Victoria.
Option 1 : a quick visit to the Science Museum
Option 2 : a tube ride across London to Kings Cross to visit Platform 9 3/4 from the Harry Potter movies. You can probably guess from the title which one they chose! In four months we have visited Harry Potter Studios, Gloucester Cathedral (where scenes were filmed) and now Kings Cross. Slowly but surely we are ticking places off our list.

As we had to change tubes at Gloucester Road we got to experience the vintage feel of their tube station making us all feel like we were at the Ministry of Magic!

I haven't been to Kings Cross before and wow that place is huge. I wasn't expecting a big queue but there were quite a few people waiting to have there photos taken and even an official photographer. The atmosphere in the queue was really nice with lots of tourists adults and kids having their photos taken and the staff were lots of fun and really cheery.

The boys didn't want to have their photo taken as they were more interested in having some food! You can just make them out in the background watching though....

We had a quick look in the Harry Potter shop which was manic and quite small and I ended up buying the official photo because it was so much nicer than the one on my phone camera-£8!!! Which seems a little high but I suppose it's super tourist-y
