Worsbrough Mill & Reservoir

Worsbrough Mill is a 17th century working water powered corn mill and as we are learning about mills at the moment we thought it was worth a visit. The children were shown around by their friends who are regular visitors to the mill and know their way around. The girls were particularly impressed with the miniature version of the mill which was the size of a doll's house.

This is the water wheel.
Colour matching the minibeasts! Great idea by my friend :-)
We just had to buy some bread from the mill to try in the bread machine and whilst it is about three times the price it definitely tasted better and looked a darker colour to our normal bread flour.
Finding lots of bugs
Playing poohsticks on the bridge and sharing our bread with the ducks
Pippi and her friend colour matching leaves to their colour card. The children did some den building together too and had a hot chocolate and biscuit to warm them up! A lovely day out with friends :-)
